My Purpose statement. I desire to possess a strong game that will allow me to compete with anyone who wants a match. I want the advantage based upon the fact that I have worked harder than my opponent. I will get to this level through hard work at a specific training program. The reason I desire to reach this level is because I would like to win money. I do not go to a tournament to see how far I can go. I do not go to a tournament to visit with the folks. I go to a tournament to win money. I want to win as much money as I can. Winning money will make me happy. I will feel like a winner. Tim Miller 1-27-10
THE MISSION STATEMENT
My purpose is to become both a great player and a great teacher. A great player is capable of doing the Performance of a Master. A great teacher is one who has a heart of compassion for his students. I want to move my game to the master level. I am one of the best players in the Chicago land area but I want to be the best! Also I want to improve my teaching skills so I can help my students to reach their goals. I want to be able to explain myself in a clear way that is easy to understand. The WHY in my purpose statement is that I want to become the best player and instructor that I can be. I want to know that I have done everything I can to be a winner when I play and a great teacher so my students can reach their goals. Dominic
Here is my PURPOSE: The purpose of my endeavor is to become the best that I can be at: Being a husband, a dad, a productive citizen, a trustworthy friend, and finally a great POOL player and instructor. There are great "LIFE" lessons within your program that I need not mention, for the ones the seek will realize their importance. ALL I WANT TO BE IS REALLY GOOD! for this attracts respect and more students. Todd Reeves
My purpose is to be the absolute BEST J Been I can be. For years my dream has been to travel and shoot pool for a living. In this, I know i have picked a difficult task, but with the proper preparation and the "I Came To Win" attitude I have learned from Mr. Miller's teachings, I feel that my goal is more attainable than ever. I want to be the best, and I know that in order to be the best, I will have to BEAT the best. I'm thankful for having a group of people supporting me, no matter how small or large your contribution may be, in helping me reach this lofty goal. J Been

I was deeply touched by this girls singing so I contacted her and found that she is a major gospel singer in her country. As you can see over a quarter million people have clicked on her link to hear this fine song. I listen to it often and always feel the strength of my Higher Power. I am happy to share it with you. Words are not that important in the spiritual realm. Take a moment to close your eyes and share your own self with God as you understand Him. enjoy
I endeavor to be the best pool player I possibly can be. I strive to stay in the moment, shoot one ball at a time, deliver the stroke and not worry about the consequences. Think only of the shot in front of me and above all, deliver the stroke to pocket the ball. Leave the table only after all balls are pocketed, or playing a “jailhouse” safety. Win, because I did not come to just watch someone else take my money. Leon Walters
My purpose is to continually improve in this very competitive sport. I will focus on exceeding my own expectations during practice, league play, and tournaments. I will work decisively toward very specific goals in my practice and in my mental game. Once these specific goals are achieved I will move on to the next. The enjoyment of this game is what keeps me striving to be better. I will never reach a level of skill where I will be content and when I no longer enjoy the game I will no longer play. I will use every opportunity to use my knowledge and passion for this game to inspire other players. Scott Szydel
Purpose statement: I am going to dedicate my practice to a more concentrated effort to improve consistency in my stroke and delivery. My concentration on each shot must be more intense and I will slow down enough to give me plenty of time to regain my confidence in my performance in every shot. Gene Dean |
My purpose in pursuing the Monk Masters University pocket billiard program is to: 1. Achieve a level of performance that affirms my self-discipline, professionalism, self-respect and ability to stay on task. 2. Play pocket billiards in an environment where I am proud to be at exactly the level where I am. Never to feel that I ‘should’ be better so that I can keep up with the opponents. 3. Continue to excel in the leagues I play in. Specifically, to maintain the 9+ handicap level. 4. Continue my pursuit of high scores in all the MMU tests: performance pool shots, mid-term, the multiple practice routines, and especially to keep the magic “1,000” number as an ultimate goal. 5. Remain faithful to myself and the game. That means always showing respect and courtesy to my opponents – win, lose or draw, at whatever level they play. 6. I will continue to learn about this game and pass along any/all knowledge to those who seek input from me. 7. To honor this game – that means calling foul(s) on myself and telling my opponents that they played well. Chuck Tate April, 2010

My purpose is to improve the level of my game every day so I can become a great player and a Monk Master Teacher in Portugal. As a great player I'll win more tournaments and more money and as a Monk Master Teacher I'll help players that love this game as I do to become better players. Cesar

My purpose is this. To win the Bca which I have wanted to do for a long time, I know I can do it because I have one won nationals before. I want to be able to run three racks consistently. I want to be able to live my life as a champion and not just on the pool table. For now those are part of my purpose. I know as I grow and develop my game and live a life of a conquerer.
