Put it together and win nine ball tournaments.
                      Six steps to success!

You must possess a powerful drive made up of imagination, the ability to sit and examine self,
self-discipline, the faith we need to finish the course, selfishness, knowing that this is your
journey and no one can pull you away, endurance, stay strong, courage, the ability to reach for
the stars and not look back and social instability which causes you to crush the poor and
unprepared. Take a moment and examine yourself to see that you have these fine qualities.

1. Examination. First we must exam our goals and put them to the test. Do they seem real and
can this journey help me realize my total intentions? When we begin our journey through most
training programs we see success immediately. Our goals must be measurable and easy to
understand. Those who train in my Masters of Art in Pocket Billiards have numbers they must
reach. After a tough nine ball match we need the ability to examine just what happened and
have the wisdom to make an adjustment. I tell my students to “take action, measure your
progress and make adjustments.”

2. Faith. Once we make up our mind to follow a program we must demonstrate complete trust in
it and follow each and every detail. It is not easy to have faith. Sometimes we get discouraged. I
think my strongest suit is faith. Once I know I am on the right path, nothing can stop me.

3. Confidence. We need to have complete confidence in our ability to finish the course. It is one
thing to enter a program and quite another to complete the program. Before I allow a student to
enroll in The Masters course I ask them, “Do you have confidence you can finish the twelve
levels”? It is the same with an open nine ball rack. Do you think you can complete the run?

4. Awareness This comes by knowing ourselves. We must learn to understand our nature and
the things we pursue. We must learn to understand why we press on to achieve what we want.
Be clear about your intentions, know who you are and what you want, and you will draw it to
you. If the right shot is a safety you must have the instincts to deliver the stroke.

5. Courage This is the kind of courage that allows you to dream big dreams. Many people like to
hide behind so called reality. The courageous man or woman sets goals beyond their reach and
then enters a training program that will take him/her there.
.

6. Fortitude. They say you must never give up. I say, you must have the ability to never give up.
That is fortitude. The score in nine ball is only relevant when the end of the match is declared.

You should memorize these six qualities and make them your own.  Cut out this page and post
it in your room.  Take route in your mind and you become the concepts you will find yourself
